Why you should care!
In a world where 80% of humanity live on less than $10 a day, where 80 % of the world’s population lives in countries where income differentials are widening, and less than 1 % of what the world spends every year on weapons is needed to put every child into school, we ask ourselves: what can we do?
UNICEF estimates that roughly 24,000 children die every day due to poverty, and around 27-28 % of all children in the developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted.
How do we address these issues? How to we bring about a systematic change in these economies? There are countless charitable organizations that act daily in the categories of water, sanitation, aids, malaria, education, etc. and every day the number of people that need help is increasing.
What we need is an underlying change, something fundamental that moves the world in the right direction. If we want to address any of the sectors mentioned above, ranging from education to water, we need to improve economies as a whole. With a higher standard of living comes an improved education. More education means knowledge about diseases, and being able to get better jobs. With new income countries can collect higher taxes. Those lead to the establishment of a social system. Social systems spread wealth, which addresses poverty. And so on. Economic development is the underlying factor that improves every aspect of a country.
What you can do!
Nothing excites us more than working with individuals with a similar mindset. We are passionate about our work, we care about increasing the situation in the developing world, and creating a better planet for everyone. We believe in this mission of coming together as a global community and addressing our global issues as global community. We believe that bicycles can bring about a fundamental change to the system, addressing every different sector of economic development.
We welcome partnerships. As global community we should work together, and we welcome partners and individuals that want to get involved in the organization and believe in this mission. We look for individuals who share our passion and believe in creating a better planet through the power of bicycles.
